MoH to permit mail-order pharmacies
Some weeks ago, the minister summoned various pharmaceutical associations to a first meeting in order to discuss with them the legalisation of mail-order trade. However, there are not yet concrete plans, according to "Les Echos".
Criticism on the part of the pharmacists was inevitable: When commenting on the meeting, the pharmacy associations claimed that the plans open the door to counterfeit medicines and fake pharmacy websites. In France there is on average one pharmacy for every 2500 inhabitants. The supply of medication is guaranteed during shop opening hours from Monday to Saturday, as well as by night and emergency services.
